Our Summer Matsuri will offer a full day of varied events, from video games, to cosplay skits, to a live concert.

This website is constantly being updated, so be sure to check back often!

Events Schedule

Schedule A preliminary events schedule is now online! Saturday's schedule is not expected to change much, but we may be adding even more events on Friday night!

Musical Programming

  • Musical Guest - Special guest appearance by Echostream. Be sure to check out their myspace page and give them a listen!

  • Rave - The lights go down and the music comes up with DJ Supreet, DJ for Another Anime Convention 2007 and 2008.

Cosplay Events

  • Conprov - An improvisational cosplay game show, run in a similar vein as the hit television show "Who's Line is it Anyway?"

  • Cosplay Chess - See your favorite (or most hated) anime characters battle it out on the chessboard.

  • Masquerade Lite - A relaxed version of the traditional Cosplay Masquerade event. Show off an old skit try out a new one, or simply let your creativity loose. Sign ups for this will be posted soon, and we will most likely be accepting applicants during the afternoon prior to the show.

Panels and Workshops

  • Cosplay 101 - Cosplay, or costume play, is a Japanese-bred art form that consists of dressing up and/or creating costumes. In the United States, it refers to only costumes from media or literature, normally those of Japanese origins.

    Cosplay 101 is a informative panel on this interesting art form. Whether you are new to this hobby, or are just interested in learning more about it. This panel will walk you through the basics of cosplay, from finding resources to online cosplaying communities.


  • Anime Dance Workshop - Have you gone to con after con and seen dozens of people dancing in the crowds? Doing the Hare Hare Yukai and other well-known meme-style dances while you stand back and watch, wishing you knew the steps? Now's your chance to learn them all!

    Spend an hour learning the steps to the Hare Hare Yukai, Motteke! Sailor Fuku, Caramelldansen, and the Bing Bang dance from talented staff members.

    Participants of the panel get to show their new skills during intermission at the Masquerade for everyone to see.
